How to Log In to NMI: Step-by-Step
The NMI login process differs slightly depending on which portal you use, but the core steps are the same. Follow these instructions to access your account.
Step 1: Identify Your Portal
Check your welcome email from NMI or your ISO/reseller. It will contain a URL and your initial credentials. If you use USAePay, your portal is different from the main NMI gateway — see our USAePay login page for details.
Step 2: Navigate to the Official URL
Always type the URL directly or use a bookmark. The official NMI gateway login is at secure.nmi.com. The USAePay console is at usaepay.com. Never click login links from emails you did not expect.
Step 3: Enter Your Credentials
Enter your username and password. NMI supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) — if enabled, you will be prompted for a second factor after entering your password. We strongly recommend enabling MFA on all accounts.
Step 4: Access Your Dashboard
After authentication you land on your dashboard. From here you can process transactions, view reports, manage recurring billing, and configure your gateway integrations.
Phishing Warning
NMI will never ask for your password via email, phone, or text. If you receive a message asking you to “verify your account” or “update your password” through an unfamiliar link, do not click it. Report it to NMI support immediately. Learn more in our NMI security guide.
